At GOOD+ Foundation we understand that privacy is important, and we are committed to protecting the privacy of our donors generally and visitors to GOOD+ Foundation´s website (the “Site”). The following information is designed to help you better understand the information we gather from you generally, and when you visit the Site and use our services, how we use this information and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct, the information.
Personal Information that GOOD+ Foundation May Collect Online and Offline
Consistent with the Children´s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, GOOD+ Foundation does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such children to provide us with their personal information without parent or guardian consent. In addition, no part of our Site is designed with the purpose of attracting any person under age 13. If we learn that we collected personal information from anyone under the age of 13 without parent or guardian consent, we will delete that information. How GOOD+ Foundation Uses Personal Information Collected Online and Offline
Unless you otherwise consent, we will use your personal information only for the purpose for which it is submitted, such as to reply to your inquiries, to provide you with information you request or to prepare tax notifications. On the Site, at events, or if you volunteer with us at one of our two warehouses, there is an option to sign up to receive GOOD+ Foundation´s newsletter and be on a mailing list to receive information about other GOOD+ Foundation programs and events. How Your Information May Be Shared
We will not sell, share or rent donor information collected online or offline at volunteer or other events. However, GOOD+ Foundation, in its sole discretion, as it believes necessary or appropriate, may release personal information under the following circumstances:
- If required by law (for example, a subpoena) or regulation or requested by a government agency;
- If our records indicate a company may be engaged in fraudulent activity or other deceptive practices that a governmental agency should be made aware of;
- To appropriate governmental authorities, where warranted by a company’s failure to participate in the advertising self-regulatory process or where a company fails to honor the recommendations of the National Advertising Division, Children’s Advertising Review Unit or the National Advertising Review Board; or
- To appropriate persons, where your communication suggests possible harm to others.
How We Keep Your Information Secure
GOOD+ Foundation uses physical, administrative and technological security measures to help prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of the information we collect from you. Although we take steps to secure your information, we cannot guarantee the security of any personal information that you provide on the Site or to us directly.
Help Us Keep Your Personal Information Accurate
If you signed up to join the GOOD+ Foundation mailing list, you may contact us at email@example.com to ask us to change or remove your personal information from our database, electronic or otherwise. However, we will need to maintain certain personal information about your donations in our records for purposes such as tax notifications and disclosures.
Computer Tracking and Cookies Online
The Site logs generate certain kinds of non-identifying site usage data, such as the number of hits and visits to our sites. This information is used for internal purposes by technical support staff to provide better services to the public and may also be provided to others, but the statistics contain no personal information.
GOOD+ Foundation also uses non-identifying cookies to provide easier site navigation and access to forms. A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer’s hard drive. You can still use the GOOD+ Foundation site if your browser is set to reject cookies.
